Volunteering at the Marathon

Today a hardy band of Kama volunteers manned “Drink Station 5” on Parkes Way, for the runners in the Half Marathon, Marathon and Ultra Marathon.

On site by 5.30am for a beautiful dawn, we nevertheless had much more rain than sun.  But we remained cheerful and it was all good fun. Not only did we provide a much-appreciated service for the runners, we have earned a small contribution to Kama’s kitty.

Climbing the wall

Tonight Cubs ended their term on a cliff-hanger.  Can’t wait for Season 2!

Six new Cub were invested into scouting at Indoor Rock Climbing tonight.  Welcome all!  With help from leaders, parents and older/taller Cubs who helped with belaying, there was lots of scampering up and down the rock walls tonight with everyone getting a turn.  Great fun was had by all.
