Kama was out in force last weekend at SciScouts.  (The short article at this link is recommended).

We had parent and leader volunteers acting as event marshals and activity helpers, as well as big contingents of youth visiting on both days.   We are truly fortunate to be in Canberra, with its rich diversity of community and educational resources available for innovative activities like SciScouts.

Joeys and Cubs had a great afternoon on Saturday.  Scouts camped on Saturday night, ready for the morning rotation on Sunday.  It was decidedly cold on Sunday but fined up into a beautiful day.  We learned about all kinds of cool stuff and were so busy, we don’t have many photos!

Over 15 local activity partners were involved this year. This included several research schools from the Australian National University, divisions of the ACT Government, fire and SES emergency services, and local environmental organisations such as the Murray Darling Basin Authority and Mulligan’s Flat Nature Reserve.
